Do not run portfast on trunk interfaces.
First of all,put all your switch interfaces in access mode to avoid rougue users,eliminate spanning tree problems which can wrech a whole network
and do switchport port-security max 1if no ip phone is used and max 2 if you are using ip phones
-This will prevent a user or staff to connect a rogue switch.
Maintain a syslog server on a separate pc and edit access lists with tools so that you can always have a backup.
